Welcome to
The Over Players
Welcome to The Over Players web site, an amateur dramatics group based in the village of Over in Cambridgeshire - United Kingdom.
We have been presenting shows in the village since 1984. Originally these shows were staged in the Church Hall but since June 1999 we have moved to the Over Centre. The Centre is a village facility part funded by the Millennium Fund.
It's time for the Players' annual pantomime. This year it will be Peter Pan, which is written and directed
by Sean Baker. J.M. Barrie's classic tale of
the the boy who never grew up is retold by Sean as Peter Pan (The Panto). Performed by a cast of 40, it features all the essential ingredients of traditional pantomime including hit songs, slapstick and audience
participation. Join Wendy, John and Michael on their magical journey to Neverland - full of dastardly pirates, brave redskins, mermaids and the scruffiest bunch of Lost Boys you have ever seen!
It will run from Wednesday 9th to Saturday 12th December 2009, with a matinee on the Saturday. Start times are 7:45pm for the evening performances; with the matinee starting at 2:30pm. Full details of the show and the cast can be found here.
Tickets for Peter Pan are now on sale and can be obtained from the Box Office.
Pictures of the September 2009 farce, Caught In The Net, are now on the site. The album can be viewed here. Also some rehearsal pictures of the current panto production, Peter Pan, can be seen here.
