Welcome to The Over Players, an amateur dramatics group based in the village of Over in Cambridgeshire - United Kingdom.
Our next production will be the Shakespeare comedy play "All's Well that Ends Well", which will be staged in July, in open air, in the Old Vicarage Garden in Over. See our Forthcoming Productions page for further information.
30th Anniversary Celebrations
The Over Players will be 30 years old this year, and to celebrate this milestone we are having a Sunday lunch on 9th March at the Meridian Golf Club, Comberton Road, Toft.
The arrangement for the day will be a 3 course lunch (starter, choice of Sunday roast and pudding) with an arrival drink (Bucks Fizz, Orange Juice) and the use of the conservatory and bar for as long as we require it. We will also be showing snippets of shows over the last 30 years.
For further information please contact our Secretary, Olive.
Ebenezer - The Panto
This show, staged in December 2013, was a resounding success and achieved record audience figures!
Well done to all those involved, and particularly to Phil Norton, who not only wrote the script, but also produced and directed it (. . . oh yes he did!).
This was Phil's first major production and he should be very proud of his achievement - as we all are!
Very Sad News
The Over Players were sad to announce last August the passing of Graham Ramsden, a loyal member of the group who was our resident lighting expert and also the creator of this website. For more information about Graham and his many contributions to the group please click here.
The Over Players won an award from NODA for their 2012 pantomime, Cinderella. There are 14 districts covering the whole of East Anglia, and the Players received the best panto of 2012 award for their area, East District 4S. Well done all those involved.
